Staffordshire County Show 2026 - Show Results

What a fantastic weekend for Hillside Boer Goats at the Staffordshire County Show!

We were blessed with beautiful weather throughout the show, with glorious sunshine and blue skies. Thankfully, the goat tent provided welcome shade, and a gentle breeze kept both exhibitors and goats comfortable during the warm days. Once everyone had settled in Hillside Boer Harris even enjoyed a cooling wash down to help beat the heat, something he thoroughly appreciated and seemed to enjoy immensely.

We are absolutely delighted with the results from both days and incredibly proud of all our goats.

Overall we came home with an incredible collection of rosettes, championships and special memories, making it a very successful show for Hillside Boer Goats.

A huge thank you to our judges, Mr Phillip Hall (Day 1, from Gloucestershire) and Ms Cathy Whale (Day 2, from Yorkshire), for their time and expertise and thoughtful judging.

Thank you also to the BBGS and Staffordshire County Show ground for organising such a well-run event and providing excellent facilities for exhibitors and livestock alike.

Special thanks to our hardworking stewards, Nick and Carman Brandon, for all their help throughout the show. Without the dedication of judges, stewards and organisers and volunteers giving up their time, these events simply would not happen.

Finally thank you to all the fellow exhibitors and competitors who brought along their beautiful goats and helped create such a friendly, enjoyable and supportive atmosphere. It is always a pleasure to catch up with old friends and meet new ones who share the same passion for these wonderful animals.

We are incredibly proud of our goats, grateful for the results achieved, and already looking forward to the next show.

Show Results 2025

In 2025, our show season was filled with incredible moments. Hillside Boer Gwen won the doeling class, at the Royal Three Counties and Hanbury show, she then finished her showing season after that show, as she was put into the breeding program. Also at the Hanbury Show, Hillside Boer Harry Potter dazzled by becoming Champion Kid, with Hillside Boer Halo taking Reserve Champion Kid, and Topknot Rolo earning Reserve Champion Buck.

Then at The Royal Lancashire Show, Hillside Boer Hazel claimed Champion Kid, and went on to be Reserve Supreme Champion.

At the Burwarton show, Hillside Boer Hallie soared as Champion Kid and also earned Reserve Supreme Champion.

Across the season, we saw outstanding success with our doe kids, at a couple of shows, we proudly took first, second, third and fourth.

Beyond the ribbons, we had an unforgettable time, sharing the excitement with fellow competitors, reveling in the the wonderful atmosphere, and cherishing every step of this incredible journey together.

Builth Wells Small Holders Festival 2022

We all had an amazing time at Builth Small Holders this weekend. We came away with many rosettes, but a couple we are very proud of is Hillside Boer Edward, who won “Best Buck kid under 1 year old”, and then he was awarded “Reserve Champion Buck”. We are very excited for his future.

Also we are very happy with his sister Hillside Boer Emerald, she was 2nd in “Best Doe kid under 1 year”.

Hillside Boer Elmo was 3rd in “Best buck kid under 1 year”, Hillside Boer Everdeen was 3rd and Hillside Boer Enid was 5th in the “Best Doe kid under 1 year”.

All of our children had a very enjoyable time and the judge Gil Liddle commented how well the girls handled the goats.

They also came away with rosettes. So we are very proud parents as well.
